OneQuantum is the community for all Quantum Tech startups from around the world to help them scale and succeed. Laura Gatti, Co-Founder of Quantum-South, was interviewed by Denise Ruffner and spoke about her career and the possibilities of quantum computing in an overview from the South.
An amazing first day of OneQuantum’s Women In Quantum III Summit – all speakers truly elevated the game with super insightful and fun talks. It featured Sarah Kreikemeier from IonQ Inc., Magdalena Hauser from ParityQC, Laura Gatti from Quantum-South and Kristine Boone from Quantum Benchmark Inc.
Laura Gatti spoke about women in physics in Uruguay, the joy with mathematics and the influence her mother had on her love for maths. Laura spoke about why her professors thought she would be a great match for quantum computing and what helped her get up to speed with quantum computing.
She spoke about what she enjoys most about academia and how studying for her Masters helped her in other areas of her career.
Laura’s network had a big impact on her career path and she worked on many interesting problems. Denise asked Laura if were there overlap between any of the problems or were they all unique, and what helped her stay motivated to keep solving new challenges.
Laura gave several insights about what helped her and her team become finalists in the Airbus Challenge.
